TAMPA – A former aide's sexual harassment lawsuit against Hillsborough County has been transferred to federal court.
Alyssa Ogden, who worked as an aide to county Commissioner Kevin White, sued the county last month, accusing White of sexual harassment. She alleged White repeatedly approached her romantically, beginning within days of her hiring in April 2007, and said she was fired in November for rebuffing his advances.
Last year, White denied Ogden's allegations against him, calling them baseless. He said she was fired for poor performance and failing to grasp aspects of her job, including the needs of his district and its residents.
