TAMPA - A man who thought he was selling his flat-screen television Tuesday instead was held at gunpoint then had his home theater equipment and car stolen, according to an arrest affidavit.
Police said Michael Joseph Allen Jr., 25, of 1710 E. Frierson Ave., and Jamie Marion Parchmon told the victim they would buy his flat-screen television at Allen's home.
The victim, whose name was not listed in the police report, was punched by Allen, who then pointed a gun at him, the report said. The man was forced from his vehicle, and the police said Allen drove off with more than $900 worth of home entertainment equipment. Parchmon ran away and is still being sought by police.
Allen was arrested Tuesday and charged with armed carjacking with a firearm, felon in possession of a firearm and grand theft. He is being held at the Orient Road Jail on $59,500 bail.
