Regarding "Mohamed To Admit Terrorism Support" (front page, June 14):
But Ahmed Mohamed said he wasn't guilty. He said he wasn't a terrorist. He said the things in the trunk of his car were just fireworks. He said the police officer who stopped him in South Carolina was racial profiling. His lawyer adamantly insisted the same. We were assured by his lawyer and his family he was a poor innocent, wrongly charged.
Now the South Carolina officer should receive a medal and Mohamed should get the maximum with his own guilty plea. Remember this the next time you hear, "I'm innocent, I didn't do anything wrong."
There was no racial profiling. This was good police work. He is a terrorist. He's lucky his time will be served in an American jail, not a Turkish jail.
