ST. PETERSBURG - A man working at a construction site was arrested this week in connection with a bank robbery in Seminole in October.
Charles Jardine, 44, of 4640 78th Way N., St. Petersburg, was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon at a construction site in the 5200 block of 58th Street North, Pinellas County sheriff's authorities said.
He is accused of robbing a Wachovia bank at 8700 Bryan Dairy Road in Seminole on Oct. 5. He faces one count of armed robbery.
Detectives used tips generated by surveillance video and photographs that appeared on local television news broadcasts and in local newspapers, sheriff's officials said.
He entered the bank and presented a note demanding cash and implying he was armed with a handgun, authorities have said.
