Authorities Searching For Absconded Sex Offender

BROOKSVILLE - Authorities are searching for a sex offender who cut off his GPS monitor and left his home on Painters Street in the beginning of June.
David Clifton Driggers Sr., 52, is thought to be on foot or hitching rides. Authorities say his work history is sporadic, but his trade is carpentry or home improvements. He has ties to Spring Hill, Orlando and Jacksonville.
He is described as standing 5-foot-10, weighing 172 pounds, balding with gray/brown hair. He was last seen with longer hair in the back, but it's unknown if he still has a mustache. Driggers speaks with a deep voice and has a strong Southern accent.
He has multiple tattoos, including a tear drop below left eye and a lion on his chest and stomach. On his left arm he has eyes, lightning bolt, skulls stranger, reaper, SWP, White and USA. On his right arm is wire, skulls, Heart Eagle, Pride and Dave. On his left leg he has Carline, ball, chain, pick and shovel. And on his right leg is a female.

You mean to tell me that there is only one out there? Just one absconded sex offender? Please tell me this is true, and then I can live a little easier.

He most likely on the way to Circus county, I do believe they all hide in the woods in Hernando... But so true only one!?

I live in Hernando Cty. WHY did it take 20 days to decided he is missing and unaccounted for....Jeez. Coulda told us the day it happened. Hope he hasn't picked up another innocent victim

Why doesn't TBO get mugshots for this kind of story? A description is fine, but having a picture would make it so much easier for a stranger to ID him.

How many people do you know with that many tattoos? Seriously though, they should have had the picture. Go to the Violent Sex Offender site for Florida and you'll find a lovely pic of this creature.
Anyone with a teardrop tat on the face is gonna get some strange stares today...

Rather than give average traffic info on these electronic alert billboards why not daily advertise these folks and their pictures/vehicles etc. I would bet a few get picked up this way from tips.

It should also be noted that Driggers subscribes to a "White Power" extremist view. The "SWP" tattoo stands for "Supreme White Power". Added to the "White" and the "Pride" tattoos it is clear what his ideology is.

Why was he released on electronic monitor????? Our system is so liberal and lenient!!!! Stop letting people out! No room??? Put 10 in a room, I don't care. Just don't let them out!!!!!
