Authorities Think Same Pair Robbed Oldsmar, Tampa Sites

Authorities believe the same two suspects robbed a Shell gas station in Tampa and a Steak n’ Shake in Oldsmar.

TAMPA - Authorities think the same two men robbed a Shell station in Tampa and a Steak 'n Shake in Oldsmar.

The gas station, at 2356 W. Hillsborough Ave., was robbed Sunday, Tampa police said. One of the men wielded a gun and ordered a clerk to pull out the cash register drawer, and the second man grabbed the cash, police said.

The Steak 'n Shake, at 3853 Tampa Road in Oldsmar, was robbed at 1:45 a.m. Wednesday after the business had closed, according to the Pinellas County Sheriff's Office. The men slipped through a back door that had been left open, ordered the employees to the floor and demanded cash. The manager complied.

Tampa and Pinellas investigators are working together on the case.
