TAMPA -- A Tampa couple was involved in drug deal for $10 worth of crack cocaine while a 3-year-old child was in the back seat near the drugs, Hillsborough County deputies said.
Deputies arrested Shawanda Clarks and Christopher Mansfield at 4:18 p.m. Thursday at a BP Gas station on the corner of 56th Street and Hillsborough Avenue.
They each were charged with child abuse, delivery of cocaine, possession of cocaine and possession of cocaine with intent to deliver.
Each also was charged with violating probation.
During the drug transaction, Clarks placed a clear bag of 7 grams of crack cocaine in her bra, a criminal arrest affidavit states.
Deputies also arrested Kevin Johnston during the incident. He was charged with possession of cocaine.
Johnston, 50, remained in Orient Road Jail today. His bail was set at $2,000.
Clarks, 21, remained in Falkenburg Road Jail and Mansfield, 28, remained in Orient Road Jail. Neither had bail set.
