TAMPA - Rudolph Tucker III approached a person in a restroom at Club 112 this morning and shot him in the elbow while Tucker's friends stabbed the person, police say.
The victim was taken to Tampa General Hospital.
Tucker was arrested at 2:04 a.m. at the club, 901 N. Franklin St.
During a search, police found a marijuana cigarette in Tucker's pocket but didn't find a gun, an arrest affidavit states.
Tucker, 31, of Tampa, was charged with aggravated battery with a firearm and possession of marijuana.
Eric Harris and Larry Rodgers also were arrested.
Harris, 33, of Tampa, stabbed the victim four to five times on the left side, an affidavit states. He was arrested just outside the club after trying to elude law enforcement.
He was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon.
Rodgers, 24, of Tampa, struck the victim several times with fists, according to an affidavit. An officer chased him and saw Rodgers toss a knife to the ground, an affidavit states. Rodgers also had a plastic bag containing marijuana in his pocket.
He was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and possession of marijuana.
Details on the victim – including his name, age and condition – were not immediately available.
The affidavits did not give a motive, and a police spokeswoman did not have details.
Bail for Tucker and Rodgers was set at $8,000. Harris' bail was set at $7,500.
Tucker, Harris and Rodgers have since been released from Orient Road Jail.
