Pregnant Woman Involved In 3-Vehicle Crash Near Riverview

TAMPA - A pregnant woman was taken to Tampa General Hospital early this morning after a three-vehicle wreck on U.S. 301 in the Riverview area.

Veronica Speijers has been admitted to the hospital and is in fair condition, TGH spokeswoman Ellen Fiss said.

The wreck happened about 4:20 a.m. near Bloomingdale Avenue when a Jeep sport utility vehicle hit a four-door Chevrolet and a four-door Ford, according to the Florida highway patrol.

No further information was immediately available.
