TAMPA - Police are asking area hospitals to be on the lookout for a man seeking treatment for a gunshot wound after Greyhound bus security personnel found bullets and a pool of blood on the floor of a stall in a bus station men's room this morning.
The shooting happened at 6:42 a.m., said Tampa Police Department spokeswoman Janelle McGregor. Police, she said, received a call that a man in the stall shot himself. A police canine unit was dispatched, and the dog tracked a trail of blood about 100 feet, where it ended, McGregor said.
Police, said McGregor, are investigating this as an accidental shooting.
