A man was charged with disorderly conduct and public intoxication Wednesday after he repeatedly harassed Cher at the famed Nashville honky-tonk Tootsies Orchid Lounge, police said.
Nashville police said 36-year-old Calvin Hutton Houghland of Nashville tried to make contact with Cher early Wednesday and was asked to leave the club. He complied, police said, but returned a short time later and grabbed Cher by the waist as the singer-actress sat in a roped-off part of the lounge.
Houghland was escorted from the bar, but returned again. When security blocked his attempts to approach the singer, Houghland called police to say he'd been assaulted, police said.
Cher declined to prosecute, but Houghland asked to be arrested, according to police.
Sure, Go Ahead And Steal, Kid Rock Says
Kid Rock wants fans to know it's OK to illegally download his music. And while they're at it, they should steal cars, designer clothes and iPods, too.
Well, maybe not.
The 37-year-old Detroit musician posted a "special announcement" on YouTube last week urging fans to "steal everything."
Kid Rock says in the video that he's so rich, he can't complain if fans steal a song or two off the Internet without paying him.
In fact, he says, people should "level the playing field" by stealing anything they need from wealthy corporations, from laptops and iPods to Toyotas and Tommy Hilfiger clothing.

The Bad Karma Continues For George
Do they really want to hurt him?
That's the question Boy George's managers are asking U.S. authorities now that the 47-year-old singer has been denied a visa to enter the country.
The Culture Club frontman, whose real name is George O'Dowd, had planned a U.S. tour this summer.
His managers said in a statement Monday that O'Dowd has been denied a visa because he's awaiting trial in London. The singer, whose hits include "Karma Chameleon," has pleaded not guilty to imprisoning a man at his London home.
