Teen Fatally Stabbed Outside Lakeland Supermarket

LAKELAND - A teenager was fatally stabbed outside of a supermarket in southwest Lakeland this afternoon and deputies are looking for a suspect, the Polk County Sheriff's Office said.
Pedro Trevino, 18, of Plant City, met a co-worker at the Prima supermarket, 6985 Highway 60, between 5:30 and 5:50 p.m., the sheriff's office said.
Trevino, who was employed by Southeastern Construction in Mulberry, and his co-worker started arguing, deputies said. During the dispute, Trevino was stabbed and taken to Lakeland Regional Medical Center, where he died from his injuries, the sheriff's office said.
