TAMPA Tara D. Grady cashed eight forged checks made out in her name at a local Bank of America branch, deputies say.
Grady's mother discovered thousands of dollars missing from her own account and confronted Grady, an arrest affidavit states. Grady admitted "she cashed the checks."
Hillsborough County deputies arrested her this morning.
The fraudulent checks, each more than $300, were cashed between Feb. 3 and May 14, deputies say.
Grady, 25, of Tampa, was charged with eight counts each of uttering a forged instrument and grand theft.
She remained in Orient Road Jail today. Her bail was set at $32,000.
