TAMPA - The Tampa Bay area is getting its first taste of Super Bowl fever.
Workers installed two Super Bowl XLIII billboards Thursday just in time for the evening commute.
The sign along Interstate 275, just east of West Shore Boulevard, depicts the official Super Bowl XLIII game ball. The second billboard highlights the theme for the NFL 2008 season, "Believe in Now."
The sign faces south along U.S. Highway 19 in Palm Harbor, just south of Tampa Road.
Workers will put up three more billboards in the coming weeks as training camp and the NFL season get closer. They will be along Interstate 4, Ulmerton Road and Waters Avenue.
As of today, there are 218 days until the 2009 Super Bowl at Raymond James Stadium.
It will be the fourth time the Tampa Bay area has hosted the NFL's premier game.
