Man Dies After Disney Construction Site Accident

A 52-year-old construction worker injured in an industrial accident at a Disney resort has died, authorities said.
John Swearingen, of Davenport, died Thursday, according to the Osceola County Sheriff's Office. Swearingen was injured on June 13 while operating a construction lift at Disney's All Star Music, at 1801 W. Buena Vista Dr. He was airlifted to Orlando Regional Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
Osceola County sheriff's detectives are working with Occupational Safety and Health Administration officials investigating the death, which appears accidental, a sheriff's office news release said.
