A Fifth Third Bank branch was robbed this morning.
Just after the bank opened at 9 a.m., the suspect walked into the branch at 3117 W. Columbus Dr. and handed a note to the teller demanding money, according to police.
The suspect received the money and fled on foot in a southwest direction. Robbery detectives are on the scene.
The suspect fled in an unknown direction.
The suspect is described as black, 6 feet to 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a full beard, 30 to 40 years old and weighing 210 to 235 pounds. He had a medium complexion and was last seen wearing a blue bandana around his neck, prescription wire-rim style glasses, a blue T-shirt, blue jeans and brown construction-type boots. He wore a gray leather cap and repeatedly bit his lower lip.
