Courtney Campbell Parkway Opens After Motorcycle Crash

An accident involving a motorcyclist on the Courtney Campbell Causeway closed westbound traffic for a few hours Sunday.

CLEARWATER - The westbound lanes of the Courtney Campbell Parkway have reopened this afternoon after a fatal wreck involving a motorcyclist shut down traffic heading into Clearwater, authorities said.
Details of the crash were unavailable, but Clearwater police said it was a single-vehicle wreck.
The crash occurred at 12:53 p.m. and the westbound lanes were closed for more than two hours so that traffic enforcement investigators could have access to the scene.
Police have not released the motorcyclist's name because relatives have not yet been notified.
