NORTH PORT - NORTH PORT - A 6-year-old boy from Southwest Florida has been picked to represent the state in an all-star Tee Ball game at the White House this summer.
Blake Money of North Port will join 50 other players on the South Lawn of the White House on July 16.
Blake said he screamed when he learned he would be going to the game. His mother said Blake is "very excited."
A Little League International panel reviewed entries and selected one player from each state and the District of Columbia to participate in the game.
President Bush started the South Lawn Tee Ball games in 2001 as a way to promote youth sports.
