62-Year-Old Killed Crossing State Road 60 In Brandon

A 62-year-old man died late Sunday after being struck by a car about 10:30 p.m. while walking on State Road 60 in Brandon, the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Thomas Clarence Bunkley of Brandon was pronounced dead at Brandon Regional Hospital shortly after the crash, troopers said.
Investigators say Bunkley was crossing S.R. 60 near Glendale Road and was in the inside lane when a man driving a 2008 Honda Accord struck him. Troopers said the driver, Edwin Ramos, 54, of Brandon, tried to move to the left but could not avoid hitting the man.
No further information was immediately available.
