Amy Winehouse put on a near-perfect performance at Nelson Mandela's 46664 concert Friday. We should've known it was too good to last.
The troubled singer punched a fan, spit gum into the crowd, criticized Jay-Z and called Kanye West an unmentionable name at the Glastonbury music festival Saturday night.
Although she appeared a little loopy, Winehouse, 24, got off to a good start with her set at the annual British music fest.
But things went downhill fast when the singer was booed by the crowd after mentioning her incarcerated husband, Blake Fielder-Civil. "Don't boo. I'll find your phone and ring your mum and tell them about your bad manners," Winehouse said, reported U.K. newspaper The Sun.
Winehouse later spit her gum into the crowd and criticized Glastonbury headliner Jay-Z. "Jay-Z's got some nerve to come here with tunes you don't even remember," she said. Winehouse then instructed the crowd to welcome the rapper, noting that fans should be glad West wasn't about to perform and called him a name not suited for a family newspaper.
Before wrapping things up, the singer launched into "Rehab" - and elbowed and punched an audience member while working the crowd. Winehouse kept singing as she punched.
Glastonbury organizer Michael Eavis made no apology for Winehouse's behavior, saying "the man deserved it. He grabbed Amy's breasts as she went past him." But, according to the singer's publicist, Winehouse lashed out after a fan tried to grab her hair.
Winehouse reportedly checked back into the hospital after her Glastonbury gig.
