St. Petersburg Man Killed In Crash On I-75 In Pasco

A man was killed when a pickup struck his car on Interstate 75 in Pasco County on Sunday afternoon, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
Troopers say Arnold L. Parker, 65, of Belleview, was entering southbound I-75 at Mile Marker 293 in his Chevrolet pickup and hit the right side of Arthur Gilbert's Chevrolet Camaro, causing Gilbert to lose control. The car hit a guardrail, spun clockwise and hit the pickup before stopping in the grassy median.
Gilbert, 73, of St. Petersburg, was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Both drivers were wearing seat belts and alcohol was not a factor, troopers said.
The crash happened about 3 p.m.
