Marine Maj. Brian Dennis, the St. Petersburg native who rescued an abused dog in Iraq and arranged to have it flown to San Diego, will be interviewed between 7 and 7:30 a.m. Thursday on the "Skip Mahaffey Show," WFUS, 103.5 FM.
Monday's "Ellen DeGeneres Show" (4 p.m., WFTS-TV) will include an update on Nubs, the German shepherd-border collie mix. The dog has been in San Diego since Feb. 22, staying with Dennis' friends, Chrissy and Eric Sjoberg, and being trained by Graham Bloem. Dennis and Nubs are to be reunited there when his tour of duty ends later this month.
Dennis' mother, Marsha Cargo of St. Pete Beach, said a production company associated with a major film studio is discussing turning the story of Nubs and her son into a movie.
