Randy Johnson is scheduled to make his first spring training start today.
The Arizona Diamondbacks' left-hander is expected to pitch two innings against the Colorado Rockies at Hi Corbett Field, another sign of progress as he returns from back surgery.

INDIANS: Jake Westbrook pitched three strong innings and Cleveland hit three home runs to defeat the Nationals 5-1 in a split-squad game. Cleveland starter Jeremy Sowers yielded six runs in two innings in a 9-0 loss in the other game.
NATIONALS: Ex-Ray Elijah Dukes was hit in the left hand by a pitch from Indians right-hander Masa Kobayashi and left the game for precautionary reasons.
PHILLIES: Adam Eaton has a small herniated disk and slight arthritis in his balky back. The right-hander has allowed seven runs and 10 hits in two starts this spring for a 15.75 ERA.
TIGERS: Gary Sheffield missed his third straight game with leg cramps.
TWINS: Starter Boof Bonser, of St. Petersburg, walked four, three in the second inning and one in the third in a 6-4 loss to the Yankees. He allowed three runs and two hits.
YANKEES: Phil Hughes was unhittable for four innings against Minnesota.
Hughes, 21, retired his first nine batters before walking two in the fourth.
Designated hitter Hideki Matsui, making his first appearance since surgery on his right knee last November, went 0-for-3 with two groundouts and a flyout
