Tampa, 1999: Teacher Denise McBryde, of Florida College Academy, is sentenced to nearly three years in prison, five years of probation and two years of community control, for having sex with a 15-year-old former student.

Citrus County, 2005: Tammy Huggins, a former teacher's aide at Citrus County High School, is sentenced to three years in prison for having sex with two teenage boys.

Hillsborough County, 2005: Former English teacher at Greco Middle School, Debra Lafave pleads guilty to charges that she committed lewd and lascivious battery by having sex with a 14-year-old student.

Lafave receives three years of house arrest and seven years of probation under a plea agreement.

Citrus County, 2006: Lecanto High School teacher and former coach Amy Gail Lilley is sentenced to two years of house arrest and eight years of probation after pleading no contest in a 2005 student sex case. Lilley was charged with lewd and lascivious battery of a child under 16 and faced up to 15 years in prison.

Pasco County, 2006: Pasco Middle School band teacher Michael Black is arrested for having sex with a 14-year old student on at least 10 occasions. Black is sentenced to 22 years in prison.

Tampa, 2007: Former Wharton High School teacher and coach Jaymee Wallace, 30, is sentenced to three years in prison and three years of probation for lewd and lascivious battery and unlawful sexual activity with a minor student.

Tampa, 2007: Tampa police charge Christina Butler, special-education teacher at Middleton High School, with felony lewd and lascivious battery. Police say Butler had a sexual relationship with a 16-year-old student. Butler is suspended without pay. The case is ongoing.

Bartow, 2007: Isaac Tillis, a Bartow High School math teacher is arrested on charges that he offered a 16-year-old student an "A" if she performed oral sex on him. The case is ongoing.

Valrico, 2008: Newsome High School boys soccer coach Ronnie Lewis is charged with seven counts of sexual activity with a minor. Investigators say he had sex with a 17-year old student at least seven times. The case is ongoing.

Tampa, 2008: Stephanie Ragusa is arrested and charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious battery. Investigators say she had sex with a 14-year old student at Davidsen Middle School. The investigation is continuing.
