DADE CITY - The Pasco Law Enforcement Officer Memorial Service was held Thursday evening at the historic Pasco County Courthouse.
Six officers, who were killed in the line of duty in the history of Pasco County, were remembered.
This year marked the 10th anniversary of the death of Florida Highway Patrol Trooper James Crooks, who died along with two other officers in Tampa. The officers remembered who died in the line of duty in Pasco County were:
•Constable Arthur Fleece Crenshaw, Oct. 4, 1922.
•Prohibition Agent, John Van Waters, Oct. 4, 1922.
•Deputy Sheriff, William Henry O'Berry, June 1, 1926
•Deputy Sheriff, John Herbert McCabe June 26, 1948
•Trooper Crooks, who died May 19, 1998
•Lt. Charles "Bo" Harrison, who died June 1, 2003, and was posthumously promoted to captain.
