Regarding Leonard Pitts' "We've Lost Sight Of Christ's Love" (Other Views, May 1):
My problems are many with this article. First is the very first line "modern Christianity." Christianity has not changed since Christ walked out of the tomb. People have changed and people continue to distort true Christianity now as much as - if not more than - ever.
As far as a law banning same-sex unions, what difference will a law make? Christ is not concerned with our laws; our problem is we forget or we hope to forget that the real problem is sin. We don't like to hear that word.
Anyone who uses the Bible or Christ for any type of hatred or racism or any evil act is acting in ignorance to the truth. If you're going to use parts of the Bible to make a point, you'd better read the whole thing first.
