SHRINERS BENEFIT: Fine Wine & Spirits Warehouse will host a wine tasting to benefit Shriners Hospitals for Children at 3613 S. Beach Drive, Tampa, from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday. It will feature more than 60 wines, along with appetizers such as smoked Maple Leaf Duck and an assortment of cheeses.

WINE AND ARTS FESTIVAL: Keel & Curley Winery, 5202 Thonotosassa Road, Plant City, will host a free arts and crafts festival with food and music from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. There will also be an al fresco brunch for Mother's Day on Sunday. For information, call (813) 748-0441.

QUICK AND HEALTHY: Pinellas County Extension will offer the Family Cooking Series, a five-week class for parents and their children to learn how to prepare quick meals and make healthy food choices, starting Monday.

Classes are free and will be held from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Mondays through June 16. (No class will be held May 26, Memorial Day.) Registration is required; call (727) 582-2122.

ROYAL ICING: Michaels, 2564 W. Brandon Blvd., Brandon, will offer a four-week course on royal icing flowers beginning Thursday from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Cost is $21, plus supplies.

Tasting

WINE AND CHOCOLATE: Vino 100 Valrico, 1038 Bloomingdale Ave., Valrico, will team up with Peterbrooke Chocolatier to host a free tasting that will pair chocolate and wine from noon to 5 p.m. Saturday. For information, call (813) 654-8466.
