2 Pedestrians Hit In Shady Hills; New Port Richey Woman Dies

A woman was killed and a man seriously injured as they tried to cross a road in Shady Hills late Monday night.
Jessica Redfern, 22, and Brian Stover, 21, both of New Port Richey, were crossing U.S. 41 from west to east at Bowman Road about 11 p.m., the Florida Highway Patrol said.
Andre Storr, 29, of Spring Hill, was driving north on U.S. 41 and struck the pair, troopers said. Redfern was pronounced dead at the scene. Stover was taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and had incapacitating injuries, according to a news release.
The Florida Highway Patrol is investigating. No charges had been filed against Storr as of 7 a.m.
