WESLEY CHAPEL - Crime Stoppers of Tampa Bay announced today that it is offering a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to the arrest of a 28-year-old Pasco County man wanted in the slaying of his neighbor.
Pasco detectives have a warrant for the arrest of Edward K. Stoddard Jr. of 6616 Mangrove Drive in the fatal shooting of Douglas Abrams, 26, on April 23.
Witnesses said Stoddard shot Douglas Abrams at 6641 Mangrove Drive about 1 p.m. and then fled. Neither he nor the green 2003 Dodge Ram 1500 pickup he was seen driving – Florida license plate 231JCG – has been seen since.
Abrams, who lived at 6255 Mangrove Drive, died after being flown to a hospital.
Neighbors said the two men had an ongoing dispute. A few weeks earlier, a witness said, Stoddard punched Abrams.
Detectives say Stoddard should be considered armed and dangerous.
