CRITTER CALENDAR
Snip And Chip
Through May 30, any pet spayed or neutered at the Animal Coalition of Tampa's Spay-Neuter Clinic will get a free microchip with the clip. Microchips provide a permanent form of identification that can ensure you're reunited with your pet, whether it runs away or you're separated in an emergency, such as a hurricane.
Appointments are required; call (813) 250-3900. Current rabies vaccination is also required, but it's available at the clinic, 1719 W. Lemon St., Tampa. Spay-neuter surgeries cost $40 to $95, or less for low-income Hillsborough County residents. Go to www.actampa.org for information.
Get A $10 Chip
The Humane Society of Pinellas will microchip your pet for just $10 from 1 to 3:30 p.m. Saturday at the shelter, 3040 State Road 590, Clearwater.
Bring proof of current rabies vaccine and a valid county license; microchips will be done on a first-come, first-served basis. Questions? Call (727) 797-7722.
