CLEARWATER -- Police cracking down on prostitution in the downtown area netted seven arrests this week.
Officers posed as decoys during the day on Monday and Tuesday on Cleveland Street, Gulf to Bay Boulevard and North Fort Harrison Avenue.
All seven were charged with solicitation of prostitution and two were further charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, police said.
Arrested were: Laurie Potter, 43, who has no listed address; Heather Gause, 38, and Cynthia Zillman, 42, both of 1339 Park St., Clearwater; Paula Price, 39, of 1477 Park St., Clearwater; Virgil Humber, 40, of 1555 Ottawa Road, Clearwater; Danielle Longworth, 23, of 509 N. Washington Ave., Clearwater; and Annette Childers, 44, of 1127 Seminole Ave., No. 3BB.
