TAMPA – The FBI has added the name of a Lakeland kidnapping victim to its Tampa Most Wanted list, hoping to draw attention to the case.
Robert Arthur Wiles disappeared April 1 from his family's business, National Flight Services at Lakeland-Linder Regional Airport, where he is business development manager. His parents, Thomas and Pamela Wiles, are offering a reward of $50,000 for information on their 26-year-old son and $200,000 for the arrest and conviction of the person or people responsible.
Thomas and Pamela Wiles received a ransom demand April 3. They followed the instructions, but something went awry and communication with the kidnapper ended, the FBI has said.
Since April 3, the Wileses and the FBI have appealed to the public for help and for the kidnappers to resume contact.
Anyone with information should call the FBI toll-free at 1-866-838-1153 or their local law enforcement agency.
The FBI's Web page on the case is at: http://www.fbi.gov/wanted/kidnap/wiles_ra.htm.
