TAMPA - A 43-year-old woman accused of having sex with a friend's 15-year-old son has been ordered by a Hillsborough County judge to stay away from the boy and his family, court documents state.
Kimberly S. Cameron, formerly of Apollo Beach, was arrested April 22 in Fort Wayne, Ind., on a Hillsborough warrant of two felony counts of lewd and lascivious battery. She was booked into Orient Road Jail on Monday.
Court documents filed this week on behalf of the teen by his mother state that Cameron had intercourse with her son, sent photos of herself nude and text messages to his cell phone and offered him alcohol.
The documents also state that Cameron had violent tendencies and mental problems and was known to abuse drugs and alcohol.
The Tribune is not publishing the names of the teen or his mother because of the nature of the investigation.
The mother told deputies on April 16 that Cameron had at least three sexual encounters with her son, sheriff's spokeswoman Debbie Carter said.
Detectives interviewed the teen, and he confirmed the allegations, Carter said.
On Tuesday, the mother sought and won a temporary court order prohibiting Cameron from coming within 500 feet of the family. A court hearing was set for May 20 concerning the protective order.
The same day, Cameron was released from Orient Road Jail after a relative posted a $15,000 bail, court records show.
A phone message left Thursday afternoon with the victim's mother was not returned. Efforts to contact Cameron were unsuccessful.
