Accused Dixie Hollins Attacker Released On Bond

ST. PETERSBURG An 18-year-old Dixie Hollins High School student arrested Friday on charges he sexually battered a 15-year-old girl on a school bus was released from custody early today.
Branden Allen, who was being held at the Pinellas County Jail on $55,000 bail, was released at 1:47 a.m., records show.
Allen is accused of sexually assaulting the girl twice Tuesday evening. He is charged with sexual battery and false imprisonment.
Two other boys served as lookouts and are charged with being principals to sexual battery and false imprisonment. The boys, ages 15 and 16, were being held at the Pinellas Juvenile Assessment Center. All three are Dixie Hollins football players.
The attack happened on a bus that was on school grounds at 4940 62nd St. N. The bus transports students who stay after school for extracurricular activities or sports.
