'Idol' Tour Coming To Forum; Tickets Available Saturday

The "American Idols Live!" tour will be in Tampa in August, and tickets will go on sale Saturday, according to an announcement today from the producers of the Fox reality competition.

The top 10 contestants from "American Idol" will be in concert at the St. Pete Times Forum at 7 p.m. Aug. 21.

"Idol," now in its seventh season, is down to three finalists: Syesha Mercado, who is from Sarasota, and David Cook and David Archuleta.

Also performing in concert will be Brooke White, Carly Smithson, Chikezie Eze, Jason Castro, Kristy Lee Cook, Michael Johns and Ramiele Malubay.

Additional ticket and tour information can be found at Americanidol.com. The tour kicks off in Glendale, Ariz., on July 1. The only other Florida stop is Sunrise on Aug. 20.

Tickets go on sale at 10 a.m. Saturday at the St. Pete Times Forum box office and all Ticketmaster outlets.
