TAMPA - A man wounded Saturday in a shotgun attack may lose a hand and eye, police say.
The victim is being treated at Tampa General Hospital. At his family's request, the hospital declined to give details on his condition today.
A preliminary Tampa Police Department report states that his wounds were not life threatening but that he might lose his right hand and right eye.
About 11:03 p.m. Saturday, he was standing outside 8725 Del Rey Court, Apt. 9E, with other people when two men ran at them with shotguns and fired at him, police said.
He raised his right arm over his face, police said.
The men then ran from the complex and left in a black vehicle.
Police had limited descriptions of the gunmen, describing them as wearing black clothing and covering their faces with white T-shirts.
