TAMPA - Police arrested five people in three separate fights on Seventh Avenue early this morning, including one in which an officer had to use a stun gun to control one pugilist to halt the fisticuffs.
All five, two women and three men, were charged with affray, a misdemeanor, police reports said.
The first donnybrook took place outside the club Full Moon as two women tussled at about 1:30 a.m.
The fight between Amanda Weatherford, 18, and Sade Duval, 21, spilled into the street and disrupted traffic, Tampa police said.
Duval of Bradenton was released on a $500 bond. Weatherford, also from Bradenton, remained in the Orient Road Jail this afternoon with bail set at $500.
At 2:50 a.m., police came across the second bout of the night at Seventh Avenue and 17th Street.
There, police found Chester Harper, 21, engaged in a set-to with Jerel Mack, 22.
The officer fired his electronic control device at the two men who were grappling and punching on the ground. It struck Harper and caused Mack to submit to arrest, the report states.
Both men are free after posting $500 bond, jail records show.
Two blocks away at about the same time, officers also found Daryl Doe, 22, in a dust-up at Seventh Avenue and 19th Street.
Police arrested Doe but not the other person in the fracas.
Doe was released after posting $500 bond.
