CLEARWATER - Investigators this afternoon released composite sketches of two men who authorities say robbed an Arby's restaurant last week.
Both suspects are black males in their 20s, said Elizabeth Daly-Watts, spokeswoman for Clearwater's public safety departments.
One is roughly 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs 160 pounds. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing jeans, a white shirt and a dark hat.
The other is 6 feet 2 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds, Daly-Watts said. He was wearing a black shirt and black shorts.
The robbery at the restaurant, at 1920 Gulf-to-Bay Blvd., occurred at about 10 p.m. May 15.
The suspects hopped over the counter, with one of them wielding a gun, Daly-Watts said. The gun-wielding suspect pointed it in the direction of three employees, forcing one of them to open the cash register.
The suspects then emptied the cash register and ran from the store. They were last seen leaving in a gold Pontiac Grand Prix.
If anyone recognizes these men from the composite sketches or has information about the robbery, they are asked to call the Clearwater Police Department tip line at (727) 562-4422.
