TAMPA - The FBI's local office is asking the public for help in finding two men who they say attempted to rob a Brink's security truck April 10.

Security guards were conducting a routine service call at a Wal-Mart at 6216 Elliot Drive, Tampa, when two armed men who were inside the store approached one of the guards, the FBI said.

One of the men grabbed the money bag the guard was carrying and tried to exit the store. A customer tackled the man who took the money bag and the pair fled the store without the loot.

One of the men is black, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 10 inches tall, stocky and weighs about 180 pounds. He was wearing dark pants, a bright yellow or orange long-sleeved shirt, dark sunglasses, a black wool hat and a cloth wrapped around his face.

The other man is black, 20 to 25 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches tall, thin and weighs about 150 pounds. He was wearing light-colored pants, a navy blue T-shirt over a white long-sleeved T-shirt, a black hat and a red bandanna around his face.

A reward is being offered for information leading to an arrest. Anyone with information is asked to call the FBI Tampa Field Office at (813) 253-1000 or visit the office at 5525 W. Gray St., Tampa.
