NATIONAL TREASURE 2: BOOK OF SECRETS *½
This sequel doesn't stray too far from the family-friendly-conspiracy-theory formula. This time around, history buff Nicolas Cage is out to clear the good name of an ancestor who has been linked to the Lincoln assassination. The quest involves lots of sneaking around national monuments and, of course, treasure.
PG; 124 minutes
THE FLOCK
"Infernal Affairs" director Andrew Lau's English-language debut features a rumpled Richard Gere grooming Claire Danes to take his place in the unsavory world of monitoring convicted sex offenders. Needless to say, their clientele may include a notorious serial killer. Avril Lavigne's fans are probably too young to enjoy her small role as adrugged-up girlfriend.
R; 105 minutes
STRANGE WILDERNESS
Steve Zahn is the dopey host of a wilderness show whose free-falling ratings drive him to attempt one great stunt: finding Bigfoot. Along for the ride in this goof fest are such slackers as Jonah Hill, Justin Long, Kevin Heffernan and ... Ernest Borgnine. In spite of occasional flashes of comic invention, the movie never lives up to the potential of its ensemble cast.
R; 87 minutes
THE AIR I BREATHE
Although based on a Chinese proverb that holds that happiness, pleasure, sorrow and love are the cornerstones of human existence, this multi-part drama is a downer throughout. Andy Garcia is a moneylender named Fingers, who has a digit or two in the loosely connected stories of Forest Whitaker, Brendan Fraser, Sarah Michelle Gellar and Kevin Bacon.

SQUARE PEGS: THE COMPLETE SERIES

You may also be interested to learn that Sarah Jessica Parker was not always an emaciated fashion icon.

THE BILL ENGVALL SHOW: COMPLETE FIRST SEASON
Take the usual family sitcom formula (dopey Dad, too-good-for-him wife, precocious kids, wisecracking buddies) and insert Bill Engvall of "Blue Collar Comedy" fame, and you get "The Bill Engvall Show." Engvall plays Bill, a counselor who works with dysfunctional families at work - and at home (ba dump bump)!
