TAMPA -- Here's a guide to planning your activities for the coming Memorial Day weekend.
On Saturday, think indoors, at least in the afternoon. Sunday think outside, but be prepared for a 20 percent chance of rain. Monday is definitely an outside day.
Saturday is going to feel pretty much like a summer day with a good dose of humidity to make the afternoon temperatures feel like the 90s.
The National Weather Service says there's a 30 percent to 50 percent chance of rain or thunderstorms starting in the afternoon and ending after sunset.
The best chances for rain will be north of Tampa and away from the coast.
A front shuffles through Saturday night and before dawn on Sunday, bringing some scattered rain.
But some drier air behind that front will begin to mosey in, drop the humidity and make the afternoon feel like it's in the 80s outside. It will be fairly cloudy with a small chance for rain – think one in five shot -- through the whole day.
Monday's forecast seems fitting for a holiday. Dry air from the front should have settled in so the humidity drops and the afternoon should be in the middle 80s. As for rain, there's no whisper of it in the forecast.
Not that it will make anyone feel better, but that pleasant weather also should linger into Tuesday when everyone toddles back to work.
