PALM HARBOR - The Pinellas County Sheriff's Office released a surveillance video Wednesday of a man with a shotgun robbing a bank Tuesday.
He was carrying a jacket when he entered a Patriot Bank at 1103 Florida Ave. just after 11 a.m. and demanded cash from a teller, authorities said. He then lifted the jacket to show he was carrying what appeared to be a shotgun.
The man ordered two employees to get down on the floor while the teller retrieved cash, sheriff's officials said. He then left the bank and got into a gray or silver car resembling a mid- to late-1990s Ford Taurus.
The man is white, 35 to 45 years old, 5 feet 9 inches to 6 feet 2 inches tall, and thin, authorities said.
He was wearing a dark ivy cap; a blue, long-sleeved, button-down shirt; dark dress pants; a black belt; and dark shoes. He also wore eyeglasses with large, thick lenses.
Anyone with information should call Detective Jeremy Lewis at (727) 582-6200 or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-873-8477.
