HOLIDAY – A man robbed a Sweetbay pharmacy this afternoon, and Pasco County Sheriff's deputies are investigating.
The robbery happened at about 11:30 a.m., when a man carrying a gun wrapped in newspaper demanded that a pharmacy clerk give him OxyContin, according to a news release from the sheriff's office. The clerk handed over an undisclosed amount of the drug, and the robber fled the store.
No one was hurt in the robbery, according to the news release.
The robber is described as white and between 25 and 35 years old. He is between 5 feet 10 inches and 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 pounds. He was wearing a Rays baseball cap, sunglasses, a dark, long-sleeved dress shirt, light-colored dress pants and black shoes.
