Polk City Man Fatally Injured In Single-Vehicle Crash

A Polk City man has died of injuries from an automobile accident late Thursday night.
Terry D. Warf, 43, of 8847 Hammock Loop Road, was driving north on State Road 559 when his pickup veered right and then slid sideways, sheriff's office spokeswoman Donna Wood said. The right rear wheel broke away from the axle and the truck overturned at Cone Road, investigators said.
Warf, who was not wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from the truck and pinned beneath it, Wood said. He died at Lakeland Regional Medical Center.
The crash investigation had not been completed.
