Pasco football is sending as many as four of this year's seniors to play in college.

Linemen Chris Burgos (6-foot-4 280 pounds) and Josh Jones (6-foot-3, 245 pounds) both signed scholarships; Burgos with Benedictine College (Kan.) and Jones with Huntingdon College (Ala.).

Wide receiver Demetrious Larry is in the final stages of completing his scholarship process with West Hills Community College, just outside San Francisco.

The 6-foot-2, 165-pound Larry had six touchdowns this season. His longest was for 77 yards, and he had 27 receptions for 498 yards.

Linebacker/guard Eric Stroud is in the middle of deciding between Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton or Florida International in Miami, where he would be a walk-on.

Pasco coach Tom McHugh said Stroud wants to study engineering and is trying to decide which schools would be best for that. McHugh added that the coaching staff at FIU said Stroud would be able to walk on with the Panthers.

SAINT LEO PLAYER CHOSEN TO REPRESENT SCHOOL: Thomas Kaiser, a sophomore forward for Saint Leo's men's basketball team, has been chosen by the NCAA to represent Saint Leo for a leadership award.

The ceremony will be held Sunday-Tuesday at the Yacht Club at the Wide World of Sports Complex at Disney.

One athlete is chosen from every school with a Division I or II sports program. Kaiser was nominated by Saint Leo men's basketball coach Mike Madagan and was chosen by the NCAA based on academics, athletics and an essay on leadership written by Kaiser.
