Father Accused Of Slamming Baby Onto Stool

BRADENTON BEACH — Police arrested a 52-year-old man on charges he slammed an infant into a foot stool during a violent argument.
The man, Peter C. Murray, who police said had been drinking, was arrested on charges of aggravated child abuse and domestic battery. The extent of the victim's injuries were not immediately known today.
Police said Murray and his girlfriend were arguing when Murray reportedly slapped the victim in her face.
The woman was leaving with her kids, including a 3-month-old, when Murray reportedly grabbed the infant and slammed him down face-first onto a stool, according to police reports.
