ODESSA - In October, Bryan Kamm persuaded the owners of Coastal Caisson to move to an industrial park on Gunn Highway just north of the Hillsborough County line.
This month, Kamm went to work for Coastal Caisson, leaving the industry recruiting job he held for four years at the Pasco Economic Development Council.
Council vice president John Walsh said the organization will miss Kamm's skills.
"He was a valuable team member," Walsh said.
The organization won't replace Kamm immediately. Its directors plan to re-evaluate the organization's strategy in light of last month's review of county growth and management by consultants from the Urban Land Institute.
Kamm will direct government public relations and international development for Coastal Caisson, which specializes in building footings for bridges, cellular phone towers and other massive public works projects.
"We are excited to have Bryan join our team," Coastal Caisson president Chuck Puccini said in a statement.
Before his years with the development council, Kamm worked for Seminole Electric Cooperative Inc. in Pinellas County. He holds bachelor's degrees from Florida State University and the University of Central Florida.
Coastal Caisson does most of its work in the Southeast but is looking to expand its reach internationally. The 150-person company is owned by German firm Bauer Spezialtiefbau GmbH.
