TECO Attends To Davis Islands Power Outage

DAVIS ISLANDS – About 1,000 customers on Davis Islands found themselves without power for a few hours this morning.
A couple of circuits had a problem about 10:40 a.m., Tampa Electric spokesman Rick Morera said, causing the power outage. All but 500 customers were back online by 12:30 p.m., he said. Morera expected the rest of the power to be restored by 1:30 p.m.
Utility workers are on the scene. As of 12:30, they still didn't know what caused the outage, Morera said.
