Gardening is a year-round hobby/passion/duty in Florida; still, we've noticed a crazy uptick in plant chatter lately.
Blame it on the rain we (finally!) got last week. Or not. After all, a drought gets you thinking about what to do with your yard as much as the rain, if not more so.
Regardless, everyone is telling us stories about fabulous roses they've spotted roadside, out-of-control vines and shrubs in their yard, and sweet plans for extreme landscaping makeovers.
We want to hear it all - and see it, too.
It's funny how much work we all put into our yards and how few people ever see the results. So we're asking readers to share their triumphs with other gardeners in a Snap! photo gallery on TBO.com.
What is Snap? It's kind of like your own little online brag book where you can build a collection of your fave photos; in this case, it'll be pics of your garden. Snap is free to all registered TBO users.
To get things started, Penny and I put our little Edens out there on full view - the good and bad; the thriving and dying; the seedy, the weedy, the needy and, in my yard, the greedy. You'll find our collections on TBO.com, keyword: dirt. Just click on the links there.
We're hoping you'll put your photos alongside ours and other gardeners' so we can all compare, take notes and steal great ideas from one another. (That's the plan, anyway.)
When you're ready, go to TBO.com, keyword: At Home, and sign up or log in at the Snap! logo. Then go to My Dashboard, click Upload Now and start sharing. When you're finished, click Options, and for Category, choose At Home.
