Children Hurt In Bradenton ATV Crash

Three children are in Bayfront Medical Center in serious condition after an all-terrain vehicle crash in Bradenton on Thursday night, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.
The children, Jonathon Hernandez, 8, Kate Hernandez, 5, and Nicole Hernandez, 1, all of Bradenton, were riding in the 2800 block of 15th Court West when their vehicle hit a carport support, the patrol said.
All three were thrown from the ATV. Jonathon and Kate hit a tree before hitting the ground, according to the accident report.
None of the children was wearing helmets, the patrol said.
Child Protection Services were notified, and the Manatee County Sheriff's Office completed a child neglect report, according to the patrol.
